Can I account for all 180 required days of homeschooling?

You bet I can, and then some.

Places to go

There are so many places within reach of our home, I hate to think of us missing any!  So, I'm starting a list of places...

Black Creek Preserve Neat bridge, and it's a two-mile loop walk that takes you out to the Hudson.
Esopus Bend Preserve Also known as the Esopus Creek Conservancy.  Great views, and a nice walk, though a bit steep in spots.
Fireman's Museum in Hudson is well worth the trip.
Minnewaska State Park holds monthly Homeschool programs.  The only fee is the entrance fee per car.  Beautiful place!
NYS Museum in Albany is one of our favorite haunts.  From the free carousel on the fourth floor, to the bird hall and the Native American Longhouse, it's a cool place and the hardest part is finding parking.
Rhinebeck Center for the Performing Arts in Rhinebeck has lots of shows for kids and for lots less!  The productions feel much more personal, and are always a lot of fun!  We go to the school productions and usually putting out the word gets a big enough group.
Trevor Zoo  The only zoo run by high school students!  This zoo is impressive in it's scope, and they put together a great class for our homeschool group of zoologists.
Ulster County Community College always has wonderful concerts around the holidays, and often have speakers in for free.
